Don't Let This Happen To You

The readers of D-Listed are having a field day trying to explain why Paris's face doesn't match her chest, but as someone who's actually had this disaster happen to them, I'll tell you what's really causing this mess: MAC Studio Fix foundation. I saw The Simple Life and Paris was using MAC Studio Fix all the time. The problem with Studio Fix is that it is loaded with titanium dioxide (a type of sunscreen) and is a nightmare for photography. Titanium dioxide reacts with the camera flash to make it look like you dunked your face in the flour jar. Don't let this happen to you, ESPECIALLY when you are planning to have professional photos taken. For a more natural looking foundation that won't react like this, try sticking to a liquid or creme foundation, with a light dusting of Laura Mercier Translucent Powder. I personally swear by Face Base by Vasanti Cosmetics. It's a powder and foundation all in one like Studio Fix, but without the photo damaging effects of titanium dioxide. Just use your own sunscreen or a moisturizer with sunscreen underneath it to get sun protection.

That is EXACTLY why. Your good. I was just blogging through and had to tell you that. I do alot of bridal makeup and always tell my brides that they have to be careful with foundation choices.

You rule!!

too funny. How could you not comment on the outfit though? That leather patchwork top is screaming for snarkiness.

I found this out the hard way in my vacation pics when I looked like I slathered myself in fried chicken.

my disaster happened when I wore MAC Studio Fix to a friend's wedding. When the pictures came back, there I was, looking like a Geisha. Studio Fix is vicious stuff.

nice one! i only ever wear a tiny amount of you rebel by benefit. i even often mix it with a little more moisturiser.

i love the bikini post below with royalty in speedos.

and as for the spicey food... my guys have always been encouraged by their turkish dad to eat hot pepper on everything but the're not having any of it. i have a pakistani friend who before he returned to england cooked us lovely food every sunday. they liked his food though- who couldn't but still only if it was mild. i am the same, give me loads of spice but only a little chili pepper.

Hmm, weird. Ive been using Studio Fix for years, including at my wedding and both receptions and didn't notice anything. Maybe it depends on the face/skin type. I am in the market for a new foundation though .. maybe I'll try Vasanti.
